2008-2009 Season
Welcome to a new season of exciting Education Concerts with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra! The BSO is pleased to continue to offer three age-appropriate concert series.
Concert Preview CDs will be available in August and will contain repertoire and information for the upcoming concerts. Teacher's Guides for the 2008-2009 Season will also be posted and available for printing in August. Teacher's Guides for the 2007-2008 season will remain online until that time. Please visit the Teacher's Guides page on our website to download them for your classroom files. Through our partnership with the Maryland Music Educators Association, we strive to create a helpful resource to prepare your students for their concert experience.
Tiny Tots: Pre-K - Kindergarten (approximately 35 minutes in length) Engaging themes and stimulating visual elements introduce our youngest audiences to the excitement of symphonic music.
Prime Time: Grades 1-3 (approximately 40 minutes in length) Prime Time concerts expand on the themes of the Tiny Tots, holding elementary school audiences captivated with exciting guest artists.
Music for Youth: Grades 4-8 (approximately 50 minutes in length) The dramatic arts enhance these lively and educational programs to foster a lifetime appreciation for great music in our students.

Your journey will teach you how African drumbeats, moving spirituals, and ragtime have helped to shape this popular genre.
